My name is Sara Akki, and I am currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology (Ph.D.) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Since last year, I have been working as an intern with a psychodynamic approach for an organization that offers psychological support services to adults in situations of social exclusion or severe vulnerability (trauma, homelessness, substance abuse, sex work, criminalization).

Previously, I completed an internship at a university clinic offering psychological services, where I was trained in humanistic and emotion-focused therapy. As a result of these two internships, I developed an integrative approach that I adapt to the needs of each of my clients. The rich experiences I have had the opportunity to participate in have allowed me to develop my therapeutic skills with a diverse clientele facing various challenges. It is important for me to welcome each person with dignity and respect for their needs, regardless of their situation and the difficulties they face.

My goal is to provide a warm and empathetic environment where my clients can feel confident and completely at ease. I work with adult clients on various issues, from diverse mental health problems to traumatic experiences, to identify recurring patterns, internal conflicts, and past experiences that may impact their current lives. I look forward to meeting you!
