Psychotherapist
Biography
I am a registered psychotherapist and vocational counselor that specializes in using a trauma-informed approach to therapy for a variety of issues within the lived experience.
I completed a Master’s degree at McGill University in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subsequently worked with a diverse set of clients in rehabilitation centers, universities, and neuropsychological clinics.
Using psychoanalytic, person-centered, and humanistic approaches, I consider myself an integrative therapist who tailors treatment to the individual client’s needs and personality. In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Concordia University and a Master’s of Science in Neuroscience from McGill University.
With my extensive background in the neurobiological underpinnings of mental health and illness, I am also able to practice neuro psychotherapy to address significant mind-body-brain connections.
My therapeutic practice involves an open and collaborative approach to helping clients achieve goals and develop their personal growth while using a strength-based approach.
My focus is to create a compassionate, empathetic environment with unconditional positive regard for the client. In addition, my approach is trauma-informed which means allowing space for interventions that are safe, collaborative, transparent, and empowering.
