Licensed Psychotherapist with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, OPQ #61942-21, Vocational Counsellor with the Order of Guidance Counsellors of Quebec, OCCOQ #20613-17
My Areas of Expertise
I am a vocational counsellor and registered psychotherapist that specializes in stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, career and academic issues and overall life adversity.
I completed a Master’s degree at McGill University in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subsequently worked with a diverse set of clients in rehabilitation centers, universities, and neuropsychological clinics. In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Concordia University and a Master’s of Science in Neuroscience from McGill University, where I studied the impact of stress, diet, and inflammation on brain mechanisms.
With my extensive background in the bio-psych-social and neurobiological underpinnings of mental health, I am also able to practice somatic therapy and neuropsychotherapy. Together, we can address significant mind-body-brain connections within lived experiences and events to help modulate neural and somatic networks.
Using psychoanalytic, person-centered, and humanistic approaches, I consider myself an integrative therapist who tailors treatment to the individual client’s needs and personality. My therapeutic practice involves an open and collaborative approach to helping clients achieve goals and develop their personal growth while using a strength-based approach.
My focus is to create a compassionate, empathetic environment with unconditional positive regard for the client. In addition, my approach is trauma-informed which means allowing space for interventions that are safe, collaborative, transparent, and empowering.
