What is the credit card policy for appointments at Blake Psychology?

At Blake Psychology, we strive to make your experience as seamless as possible. As part of our commitment to efficient service, we have implemented a credit card policy for appointment bookings.

Why we require a credit card

To guarantee your appointment and minimize absenteeism, we require that a valid method of payment, such as a credit card or pre-authorized debit agreement, be held securely by our payment processor. This facilitates the management of appointments and billing, and enables our clinicians to serve all clients in a timely manner.

Please note:
Should you choose to pay via Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD), payments may take 5-8 business days to process. This also means you may not receive your receipt from us until the payment has been fully processed.

Fees for no-shows or late cancellations

If you miss an appointment without giving us at least 48 hours’ notice, an administrative charge equivalent to the amount of the session will be levied on the payment method provided. An appropriate receipt will also be issued.

Secured storage of payment information

We use Stripe, a renowned payment processor, to guarantee the security of your transactions. We will never have access to your payment information. All credit card and pre-authorized debit account information is stored directly on Stripe’s secure servers, in compliance with PCI, a banking industry standard.

Changes to Your Information

If your payment information changes or you wish to update it, please first add a new payment method to your file via the self-service portal https://portal.blakepsychology.ca at least 48 hours before the time of your appointment. It is important to add the new payment method before removing the old one. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact us at 514-319-1744
