Dr Andrée-Anne Légaré, PhD
Hi and welcome to my profile. My name is Dr. Andrée-Anne Légaré, and I am a clinical psychologist. I have a PhD in Psychology from Laval University, and I’ve worked as a psychologist in mental health and addictions for over 6 years. I’ve provided individual and group psychotherapy to clients in the public sector as well as in a university setting.
Over the years, I’ve helped clients overcome depression, stress, burnout, anxiety, additions (e.g., alcohol, drugs, gambling), grief and loss, crisis situations or separations, romantic and other interpersonal relationship difficulties, issues related to self-esteem, and personality disorders.
I use an integrative approach based on empirically supported treatments and best practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. My approach to therapy is flexible and client-centered; I always have your best interests at heart, and see my role as someone to accompany you on the journey that meets your needs. I place great importance on respecting your rhythm and resources, in order to establish a climate of mutual respect. In session, we will work together to better understand how your past or present life experiences, thoughts, and feelings are impacting your current decisions, reactions, and situation. My main goal is to offer you a safe and welcoming space that favours the opportunity to get to know yourself better and increase your wellbeing.
